The aim here is to build up a selection of tools that make life easier for developers. The first such tool creates a basic component, all ready to start the real work of developing functionality, and avoiding tedious tasks such as creating an XML file from scratch.

Component maker

There is a component maker that gives you a flying start in the creation of a new application. Once you have filled in a few fields, the maker will create the bare bones of a fully working component, and you can download it and start working on the functionality. The created component will have some very simple basic functionality, and is easily altered to start doing something useful. The download you receive is a zip archive that is all ready to install into an Aliro site - including the necessary XML file for the packaging.
