Why work with Aliro?

Aliro takes the best features of the Mambo family (including Joomla!) and then extends the design to make it more flexible. At the same time, most of the code is completely new. The base system is extremely efficient and it is also a fine development environment. At the Aliro site, you can find a detailed list of technical features.

Free Aliro web hosting!

Yes, to help you to work with Aliro, we will provide you with free hosting. This is not cheap and nasty hosting, it is top quality US based hosting within a high performance server. It is optimized for running Aliro, and is guaranteed to runs smoothly. Also, the tools within Aliro will help you to ensure your site runs superbly. The only stipulations are:

  • The hosting must be used primarily for an Aliro based web site, including the use of any published Aliro extension or any Aliro extension that is under development. Other ancillary software can be used by specific agreement.
  • You must be actively working on some aspect of Aliro itself, or on an extension that will be published for use with Aliro. You are welcome to offer your extensions on other CMS platforms (we favor cross platform development) provided the support for Aliro is at least as good as for any other CMS.
  • You are responsible for domain registration
  • Bandwidth is intially limited to 5 Gb per month, although higher figures will be allowed if the site can be shown to be beneficial to the Aliro project.
  • Within reason, disk space is not limited
  • Subdomains are permitted within the above limits
  • The hosted sites must not carry material that is not related in some way to software development, and in no circumstances can they include illegal, anti-social or adult material. Our decision on this is final and non-negotiable.
